The Events Manager at Orgill plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the company’s diverse portfolio of corporate events. This full-time position centers on the detailed planning and seamless execution of key events such as Orgill's annual Dealer Market, which attracts over 15,000 attendees, along with activities hosted at the Orgill Innovation Center and other significant internal and external meetings. The role is designed to support the Director of Event Services by managing critical aspects of hospitality, registration, and overall customer experience. The Events Manager will directly oversee a dedicated team of event professionals and service providers, ensuring that every event reflects the company’s high standards for service quality and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities for this role include managing customer-facing logistics for the Dealer Market event, which involves hotel block management, attendee registration, transportation coordination, and meeting room scheduling. The role requires collaborating with various internal departments and external vendors to guarantee a consistent, engaging, and efficient experience for event attendees. Additionally, the Events Manager is tasked with supporting innovative event technologies and engagement strategies to continually enhance participant interaction.
Beyond the Dealer Market, the Events Manager manages the scheduling and execution of events at the Orgill Innovation Center, including customer tours, product showcases, and training sessions. This role also contributes to developing novel event formats that align closely with Orgill’s broader customer engagement goals. Moreover, the position supervises the event logistics team, oversees vendor relationships related to hospitality and registration, and ensures cross-functional collaboration with retail services, sales, technical teams, senior management, and marketing communications. These collaborative efforts aim to ensure cohesive and efficient event execution aligned with stakeholder expectations.
A vital part of the job includes support in budgeting and financial reporting for events, including managing vendor contracts and expense forecasting. The Events Manager monitors event performance metrics and uses post-event analytics to continuously improve future event planning activities.
This role demands a leader with a minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in corporate event planning or trade show logistics, exceptional project management abilities, and excellent communication skills. CMP certification and the ability to travel and work extended hours during peak event times are advantageous.
