The company is currently seeking a motivated individual to join its Fairbanks, Alaska maintenance department. This role is designed for someone eager to assist with housekeeping, equipment washing, and other miscellaneous tasks that support the smooth functioning of the maintenance shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in both the maintenance shop and site storage areas, ensuring all vehicles and equipment are properly washed before maintenance, and contributing to grounds maintenance activities throughout the year under the guidance of the shop foreman.
This position emphasizes safety, flexibility, and responsibility, expecting the individual to operate company vehicles safely and adhere strictly to all safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with Fit for Work standards.                 - High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
 - Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with co-workers, supervisors, and managers
 - Ability to understand procedures and warning signs and markings in English
 - Ability to respond to inquiries and make entries on reports and records
 - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
 - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
 - Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
 - Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing
 - Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
 - Ability to wear required personal protective equipment including hard hat, safety toe shoes/boots, gloves, chemical splash suits, safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection, respiratory protection, and arctic gear
 - Must pass pre-employment drug test, background check, and physical examination
