The YMCA of Central Texas is currently seeking a Kitchen Assistant Cook to join their team at Camp Twin Lakes in Cedar Park, TX. This role supports the food services for groups and camps, working under the direction of the Head Cook and Resident Camp Director to provide high-quality food service while adhering to budget guidelines. The position plays a crucial role in preparing meals and snacks for large groups, ensuring proper food handling and kitchen sanitation practices are observed. The Kitchen Assistant Cook will assist in menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas. This role requires collaboration with other kitchen staff and involves duties such as washing dishes, assisting with pantry and storeroom activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and health standards. Weekend and evening hours are available, providing flexibility for candidates with varying schedules. The hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $17.00 to $20.00. - Minimum age of eighteen (18) years old
