The role of Freight Forwarder, Air Import, based in Torrance, CA within the Air & Sea US division, is a crucial position responsible for managing the timely and effective importation of goods transported by air. This full-time role focuses on coordinating the complex logistics associated with air imports, including customs clearance and ensuring the delivery of goods to their final destination. The Freight Forwarder acts as a linchpin among multiple stakeholders such as airlines, customs agents, and trucking companies, requiring excellent organizational and communication skills to maintain smooth operations. Responsibilities include managing documentation, tracking shipments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and trade laws, all while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires a blend of practical experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The expected base pay ranges from $22.50 to $30.50 per hour, determined by factors like expertise, location, and business considerations. • Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field
• Experience in air imports
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure
• Knowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulations
• Understanding of trade laws and regulations
• Fluency in English
