HOB Entertainment, a division of Live Nation Entertainment, operates a network of exceptional club venues across the United States known as the House of Blues. Since its inception on Thanksgiving Day in 1992, House of Blues has carved a unique niche in the live music and entertainment landscape by offering a diverse range of musical genres such as Rock, Hip Hop, Country, Rock en Español, Blues, Jazz, Reggae, and Pop. This diversity ensures that no matter the musical taste, guests can find performances that entertain and inspire. More than just a music venue, House of Blues is celebrated for its southern-style cuisine and juke-joint-inspired ambience, creating a distinct and inviting atmosphere for every patron. The World Famous Gospel Brunch further adds to the venue's vibrant cultural offering, blending soulful music with delicious food in a one-of-a-kind experience.
The company is deeply rooted in community engagement and social responsibility, exemplified by its commitment to giving back through the International House of Blues Foundation. From its very first meal served to local shelters, House of Blues has maintained a focus on philanthropy and supporting initiatives that enrich communities.
The role at House of Blues seeks passionate and motivated individuals who embody an entrepreneurial spirit, resourcefulness, innovation, and forward-thinking attitudes. As a member of the HOB team, you will serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food to guests in an energetic music hall setting. The position demands a cheerful, professional attitude and efficiency to ensure every guest enjoys a memorable experience. This is more than a typical bartender position: it is an opportunity to be part of an iconic brand known for its commitment to music, culture, hospitality, and community impact.
As a bartender, your responsibilities extend beyond mere beverage service. You will interact with guests naturally and warmly, making them feel welcome while cultivating a loyal customer base that appreciates regular visits. Strong interpersonal skills will help you suggestively sell drinks and menu items, enhancing guest satisfaction and venue profitability. The role requires the ability to manage multiple drink orders, prepare beverages according to strict venue recipes, maintain safety standards, and perform various bar operations such as opening, running, and closing duties.
Maintaining responsible alcohol service is critical, as the role involves verifying identification, monitoring guest intoxication levels, and adhering to local regulations and House of Blues policies. You will play a vital role in maintaining the venue's reputation for safety and quality. Working in a fast-paced, often loud music environment necessitates physical stamina, the ability to stand for extended periods, and capable lifting techniques.
Live Nation Entertainment champions equal employment opportunities and fosters an inclusive workplace where diversity in race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, and other characteristics is respected and valued. This role offers a supportive and dynamic work environment where your skills in customer service, beverage preparation, and teamwork are highly valued. If you have a flexible schedule, can work late hours, and thrive in a bustling live music atmosphere, then joining HOB Entertainment as a bartender could be your next career step. Applicants must have appropriate work authorization and meet certification requirements related to responsible alcohol service. If you align with the House of Blues mission and the qualities we seek, we encourage you to apply and become part of a national leader in live entertainment and hospitality.
