The role of a Line Service Technician at Aero Centers is pivotal in maintaining high standards for ground handling and aircraft services. This position requires individuals who have a passion for working with aircraft and enjoy being part of a dynamic and fast-paced aviation environment. Line Service Technicians provide a wide range of services including aircraft marshaling, fueling, hangar storage, towing, and general ground support activities. They are responsible for coordinating and directing ramp movements to ensure the safe arrival and departure of aircraft, operating ground service equipment such as tugs, fuel trucks, and transport vans, and delivering proactive, personalized service to enhance the experience of private and business aviation clients.
The ideal candidates will undergo safety and procedural training through the AvFuel Safety First program and complete the Spokane International Airport Badging Program to gain authorized access. This role demands attention to detail and a commitment to safety while working with aircraft on the ramp, assisting passengers and crew with baggage and cargo, maintaining cleanliness and safety of ramp and customer areas, and performing routine quality control inspections of refueling equipment. The position also involves operational duties such as providing ground power servicing, oil service for aircraft, and record keeping to ensure compliance with operational standards.
Aero Centers values individuals who demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to work well under pressure. The position requires working holidays, weekends, and potentially overtime with a PM shift schedule. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and have a high school diploma or GED. While prior experience in aviation ground handling and customer service is preferred, the company also supports continuous learning and development to nurture a dedicated and skilled workforce.
