The Line & Ramp Services Agent position located in Teterboro, NJ, represents an entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in aviation ground services. This role is essential in meeting client and aircraft needs in accordance with company policies. Working primarily onsite at one of the busiest airports, this job demands hands-on participation in aircraft operations, including fueling, towing, and ground support equipment handling.
This position offers a starting wage in the range of $21.00 to $22.00 per hour, reflecting regional compensation standards. The role requires working flexible shifts and adapting to various weather conditions typical of outdoor airport environments.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the safe refueling and defueling of all types of aircraft, guiding planes during parking and departures with hand signals, operating towing equipment, and using specialized ground support apparatus to assist aircraft. The agent will also be involved in customer transport around airport premises and general upkeep of the hangar and surrounding grounds. Effective communication using radios is necessary to coordinate with flight crews and other airport staff, ensuring top-level customer service.
Applicants will need to possess a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18 years old with valid driving credentials, and have the physical ability to meet ongoing job demands, including lifting and weather resilience. Required certifications include completion of the NATA Line Service training program, obtaining a Motor Vehicle Operating Permit (MVOP) within 30-60 days, and an Airport ID Badge within 30 days.
