Line Cooks at Kai Japanese Bistro are responsible for assisting the executive and sous chefs with daily culinary tasks and ensuring that all dishes are prepared with precision and care. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies and preparing food items such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces. You will work closely with the rest of the kitchen staff to cook menu items in a timely and efficient manner, maintain cleanliness, and comply with all nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards. This role demands accuracy, speed, and a strong understanding of various cooking methods and kitchen procedures. Successful candidates will contribute directly to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals by ensuring the highest quality of food is delivered consistently. This position is available for both full-time and part-time employment, with competitive pay ranging from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. • Proven cooking experience including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
