The current job opening is for a part-time Waiter/Waitress position located at the Tobin Center for Performing Arts in San Antonio, TX. This role primarily involves taking food and beverage orders and delivering them efficiently to guests to ensure a positive dining experience. Scheduled hours will mainly be nights and weekends, tailored around events held at the venue, with flexibility in days and hours. The position pays a fixed hourly rate of $15.00 plus tips and allows opportunities for employees to pick up extra shifts in various roles, promoting both flexibility and additional income.
As a Waiter/Waitress at Culinaire, you will be the face of the dining experience for guests at a prestigious performing arts center. Your responsibilities include greeting guests warmly and promptly, taking orders with accuracy, and delivering food and drinks professionally while adhering to strict sanitation and food handling guidelines. Knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and the ability to advise guests on suitable food and beverage combinations is essential. Handling special dietary requests, allergens, and communicating effectively with kitchen staff to fulfill orders correctly forms a critical part of the job.
This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work harmoniously with colleagues and guests alike. You must remain adaptable and patient, especially in a lively environment punctuated by various events. Cash-handling duties, maintaining cleanliness, addressing complaints, and ensuring the dining area's readiness before and after service rounds out the role's duties.
