The University of Oklahoma’s Dining Services is actively seeking dedicated and skilled Line Cooks to join the team that nourishes this dynamic community. Line Cooks will be entrusted with adhering to standard recipes, maintaining strict portion control, and delivering exceptional food quality to uphold the university’s commitment to excellence in food service.   • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must submit to a background check
  • Safe Food Handling and Sanitation Certification required upon employment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Skilled in the safe, sanitary, and effective handling of food, cooking utensils, food processing equipment, walk-in refrigeration, elevators, cash registers, dishwashers
  • Performs basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Communicates effectively in English orally and/or in writing
  • Able to handle varying workloads and meet deadlines
  • Exposure to disagreeable conditions such as greasy and dirty materials, slippery floors
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods
  • Willingness to work during University closings if required
