The Line Cook (Steamer) position at Din Tai Fung Seattle presents an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals to join a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that prides itself on culinary excellence and exceptional customer service. This role is essential for the flawless preparation and steaming of the signature dumplings that have made the restaurant famous. Responsibilities include rolling dumpling skins, stuffing and assembling dumplings, properly closing and arranging them in steamers, and ensuring the correct steaming time for each batch. Additional duties involve meticulous cleaning and maintaining the steamer station and dumpling room, labeling all items in compliance with health regulations, and participating in regular staff and dumpling team meetings. 
Line Cooks will often operate in a show kitchen setting, which requires maintaining a clean, professional appearance and presenting themselves well at all times. The role also involves supporting broader kitchen operations, including organizing supplies in walk-in coolers and freezers, assisting with deep cleaning tasks, and adhering strictly to confidentiality regarding recipes and operating procedures. Candidates should be enthusiastic about learning, eager to take on challenges, and able to thrive under pressure while contributing positively to the team environment. 
The position offers competitive pay starting at $24.50 per hour, with compensation varying based on experience, expertise, and market factors.
