This exciting opportunity is for an Environmental Services team member at Friendship Village of South Hills. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy atmosphere for residents and staff alike, ensuring that their living spaces are comfortable and hygienic. The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $15.00 to $18.69, with a $500 sign-on bonus available for full-time housekeepers. The Environmental Services role involves cleaning assigned resident homes and common community areas, including disinfecting washrooms, cleaning floors, and dusting surfaces. You will be entrusted with the careful handling of residents' belongings during cleaning, organizing, and storage to maintain respect and dignity. The role also includes preparing rooms efficiently when a resident moves out or is discharged, ensuring new occupants can enjoy a freshly cleaned space. Maintaining an organized and well-stocked work cart is vital, alongside proper labeling and storage of cleaning chemicals and locking the cart when unattended. This position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to infection control by following specific cleaning protocols for isolation rooms in alignment with departmental guidelines.
