The Spot is currently seeking a full-time Line Cook, specifically a grill cook, to join their kitchen team. As a grill cook at The Spot, you will work within an exceptionally safe, clean, and expertly executed kitchen. Your responsibilities will include setting up and stocking your station, learning the recipes, preparation techniques, and plate presentations for dishes assigned to your station, and ensuring that every dish is executed and served according to the chef's recipes and standards, maintaining the correct temperature and quality. Maintaining high levels of cleanliness and sanitation is paramount, and you will be expected to clean and restock your station as needed to sustain the kitchen’s smooth operation.
This role offers an excellent starting hourly wage ranging from $21 to $24 dependent upon your experience, alongside regular opportunities for financial growth. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of experience working on the hot line in a busy kitchen, demonstrating the ability to execute dishes quickly and efficiently while adhering to stringent sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety standards. The successful grill cook will exhibit the capacity to multi-task effectively while maintaining composure even during the busiest service periods, all while operating under added layers of sanitary protection to ensure guest safety. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions are vital, as is the ability to quickly read order tickets, prioritize tasks, and time the preparation of food accordingly. High energy levels, a keen sense of urgency, excellent teamwork, and a consistently positive attitude round out the profile of the perfect candidate.
