The role of a Cook at Kinseth Hospitality Companies is a vital position within the culinary team, responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking a variety of food items to be served in both restaurant and banquet settings. This position requires precision and skill in handling multiple cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming. The Cook must adjust thermostat controls on ovens and other kitchen equipment accurately to ensure food is cooked to the highest quality standards. They are expected to measure and mix ingredients according to recipes for soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles, maintaining consistency and flavor. In this role, the Cook will also be responsible for carving meats, garnishing plates, and ensuring that dishes are visually appealing and served promptly. Food safety and sanitation standards must be strictly followed, including proper food handling and cleanliness of the work area. The Cook assists in inventory management by helping unload supplies and rotating stock, ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
