This role represents a vital position within the import department, where the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day import activities with a focus on compliance, accuracy, and customer service. The job demands comprehensive knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and other government agency (OGA) requirements, demonstrating the ability to navigate and manage the entire customs clearance process effectively. The Licensed Customs Broker will play a critical role in ensuring that all customs entries are filed accurately and timely, leveraging the Automated Broker Interface (ABI) system for transmissions to Customs. Responsibilities extend to maintaining meticulous documentation, obtaining necessary clearances from other government agencies, coordinating deliveries, and managing billing processes once customs releases are secured. Additionally, this position requires extensive interaction with overseas agents to verify rates and routing options for imported goods, as well as frequent communication with clients and vendors to provide updates and resolve any issues that arise. Candidates with experience in cargo classification or those holding an active Customs Broker license are particularly encouraged to apply. This role is designed for a highly organized individual with a solid grasp of federal import trade regulations, enforcement policies, and a working knowledge of specialized topics such as FTZ (Foreign Trade Zones), PLAIR (Post-Entry Amendments and Liquidation Requests), Reconciliation, and Duty Drawback filings. Familiarity with various OGA regulations including FDA, FCC, USDA, CDS, DCMA, and BATF is essential to succeed in this position.   • Bachelor's degree or above preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in import
  • Minimum 3 years as a licensed broker
  • Customs broker license required
