The Leisure Sales Manager at Terranea Resort plays a vital role in driving the leisure segment of the property’s sales strategy. This full-time managerial position is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key travel industry partners including travel advisors, agency owners, consortia program managers, and influencers. Serving as an ambassador for the resort, the Leisure Sales Manager implements strategic direction and tactical sales initiatives to maximize leisure room sales across various market segments such as retail, consortia, wholesale/FIT, and emerging online discount channels like online travel agencies and private auction sites. This role requires extensive interaction with clients both on-property and off-property, including welcoming VIPs, conducting property tours, and managing all facets of the guest experience to ensure satisfaction and repeat business. A significant aspect of the job involves frequent domestic and international travel to promote the resort, attend industry networking events, and lead sales missions and client events. The ideal candidate will possess strong presentation skills, organizational prowess, and a thorough knowledge of luxury travel trends and competitive market analysis. Additionally, the Leisure Sales Manager coordinates marketing efforts by drafting newsletters, e-blasts, organizing direct mail campaigns, and crafting comprehensive client proposals tailored to specific travel needs. With a focus on superior customer service, this role collaborates across various departments including Front Desk, Concierge, Housekeeping, and Accounting to ensure seamless guest experiences and maintains up-to-date reporting on agent and wholesale booking activities.
