The Pastry Chef role at Harmons Bakery is a multi-faceted position that involves both hands-on baking and leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, mixing, baking, assembling, packaging, labeling, and decorating a variety of pastries to maintain the highest quality standards. Additionally, the role includes crucial inventory management tasks such as ordering, receiving, and storing ingredients and finished products. The Pastry Chef will also ensure the bakery maintains an appropriate product assortment and inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing waste through careful stock rotation and date monitoring. Beyond production, the position requires strong organizational skills as the Pastry Chef will develop production sheets for the team, assist with inventory counts, and communicate regularly with store leadership including the Store Director, Bakery Manager, and others. Notably, this role also involves mentorship duties, including training and educating other pastry chefs to foster a skilled and motivated team.                 - A high school diploma or GED preferred
 - One year of bakery experience preferred
 - Current Food Handler’s Permit
 - Ability to read and follow a recipe
 - Basic math skills used to half or double recipes
 - Ability to interpret policies and procedures
 - Excellent organization and planning skills
 - Solid communication skills including verbal and listening skills
 - Ability to professionally and appropriately handle conflict
 - Ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for personal and team success
