As a Lead Cook at Renaissance Las Vegas, you will play a critical role in supervising and assisting with the preparation of all food items across multiple outlets including Banquets, Room Service, and the Employee Cafeteria. This position requires maintaining the highest standards to produce appealing, appetizing dishes while ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in kitchen and storage areas. Efficiently minimizing waste and maximizing cost-to-production ratios are key aspects of the role. The Lead Cook supports kitchen operations by organizing storage, preparing buffet food items, adhering to hotel standard recipes for all dishes, and assisting wherever needed to support smooth and efficient kitchen functions. This role demands knowledge of food quality standards, proper sanitation practices, safe food handling, and the ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment responsibly. The successful candidate must also be adaptable, able to uphold a 'Clean As You Go' policy, and frequently work long hours including standing for entire shifts while managing heavy lifting and operating in varying temperature conditions.
