The Kitchen Manager/Cook position at Hope House Colorado plays a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of the children attending the Early Learning Center. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Arvada, Colorado, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The salary range for this position is $41,600 to $49,920 annually, depending on experience. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritionally balanced meals—breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack—to 30 to 100 children daily. In this role, the Kitchen Manager will ensure that meals are prepared following Colorado Child Care licensing regulations, the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines, and Colorado Health Department standards. By creating rotating menus that meet nutrition requirements and portion size guidelines, the Kitchen Manager helps instill healthy eating habits and exposes children to a variety of foods. This position also involves managing food orders, maintaining kitchen inventory, and ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety standards both in the commercial kitchen and the warming kitchen at the Early Learning Center. The Kitchen Manager will collaborate with other HHC staff, including the volunteer coordinator and development team, to maintain kitchen standards for various events, such as teen mom and champion gatherings. This role is integral to promoting Hope House Colorado’s core values and supporting the organization’s mission of fostering community, wellness, and empowerment for the families served.   • Experience working in a commercial kitchen in child food service preparation and/or management
  • ServSafe certification or ability to acquire within one month of hire
  • Knowledge and understanding of measurements for large quantity food preparation
  • Availability to work onsite at Arvada location Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
