The organization operates with a clear vision that combines professionalism with a welcoming and joyful work environment, fostering a culture where integrity, humility, respect, and even a little bit of fun coexist. Hope House Colorado operates the Early Learning Center (ELC), providing a nurturing, play-based educational environment for children of teen moms and staff, ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years old. The ELC supports the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of young children by embracing a family-centered approach, partnering with families to create a safe, loving environment for learning and growth. Central to the organization’s mission is the commitment to helping children develop to their full potential, firmly grounded in the belief that every child is a gift to be cherished. The Kitchen Manager role at Hope House Colorado is a pivotal position within the Early Learning Center. This full-time, onsite role in Arvada, Colorado, with a pay range of $41,600 to $49,920 annually based on experience, focuses on planning, preparing, and serving nutritionally balanced meals to 30-100 children. The Kitchen Manager ensures children receive breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks that meet strict nutritional guidelines. Meals are prepared following Colorado Child Care licensing, CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) regulations, and Colorado Health Department standards. A significant part of this role involves menu planning—specifically creating rotating 4-week menus that comply with CACFP requirements to promote healthy eating habits among children. The Kitchen Manager also manages weekly food orders, inventory control, and food safety, tracking expiration dates to minimize waste. Beyond kitchen operations, this position collaborates cross-functionally with volunteers and the development team to maintain kitchen standards for licensing and health regulations, including during special events like teen mom and champion gatherings. The Kitchen Manager plays a crucial role in the Early Learning Center’s mission of instilling healthy eating habits, appropriate portion sizes, and exposure to a variety of foods in children. This role not only demands culinary skills but also requires a passion for child nutrition and a strong understanding of the regulatory environment that governs child food service. Hope House Colorado values candidates who bring professionalism, dedication, and empathy to this role, ensuring a safe and enjoyable mealtime experience that aligns with the organization’s core values.
