This full-time position requires the individual to travel daily between different school sites to provide consistent leadership, oversight, and support for cafeteria operations where coverage is needed most. Unlike a static managerial role limited to one site, the float role offers variety and challenges as the kitchen manager must quickly adapt to new environments, lead unfamiliar teams, and maintain high operational standards across multiple locations. The Kitchen Manager Floater is responsible for supervising kitchen staff, ensuring that food production meets quality and safety standards, overseeing equipment maintenance, managing inventory, and complying with all federal, state, and internal regulations related to food safety and child nutrition programs.   • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • ServSafe certification required or must be obtained before start
  • prior experience as a kitchen manager or lead preferred
  • strong communication, adaptability, and time management skills required
  • food service and inventory management experience required
  • reliable transportation and willingness to travel to different school sites daily required
  • must pass a background check and/or fingerprint screening and MVR
  • comfortable working in new environments and leading unfamiliar teams required
  • experience with POS systems and basic computer literacy preferred
  • customer service mindset and enjoyment of working with children required
  • must be able to stand for full shifts and lift up to 50 pounds
  • frequent walking, reaching, bending, and use of hands
