The role of Trade Coordinator at OPmobility is designed for professionals eager to contribute to a global leader in automotive innovation and sustainability. The position is based in Austin, Texas, and plays a critical role in ensuring trade compliance and the smooth coordination of international shipping and customs processes. The Trade Coordinator supports the company’s ambitious goals by managing trade documentation, coordinating shipments, and maintaining compliance with U.S. customs regulations and international trade practices. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and with external partners, including brokers and forwarders.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or Business Administration, with preferred certifications such as CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport), CCS (Certified Customs Specialist), or a U.S. Customs Broker License. A minimum of three years’ experience in customs and international trade—preferably within the automotive sector—is highly desirable. The Trade Coordinator will be involved in supporting preferential trade agreements, the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) security program, broker and forwarder oversight, legal and audit support, and documenting processes to ensure comprehensive trade compliance.
