We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards that Jalapeno Tree is known for. The Kitchen Manager will oversee food quality, cleanliness, team development, and guest satisfaction while ensuring smooth kitchen operations. Responsibilities include managing scheduling for back-of-house staff, ordering food and supplies, controlling inventory, and managing the cost of goods sold. This position requires a leader who is not only skilled in kitchen management but who is also passionate about training and coaching a high-performing team.
All Kitchen Managers participate in comprehensive training at our flagship location in Tyler, TX, before transitioning to their assigned restaurant. This training ensures familiarity with our unique restaurant systems and tools, quality expectations, and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience as a Kitchen Manager or assistant manager in a full-service restaurant and will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. A focus on maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment is critical, as is a commitment to upholding food safety and health regulations.
In addition to leadership and operational responsibilities, the Kitchen Manager plays a critical role in supporting profitability goals by managing labor schedules effectively and optimizing inventory usage. The role demands a detail-oriented professional who can balance quality standards with cost control and time management. As part of the Jalapeno Tree family, the Kitchen Manager will have the opportunity to grow their career within a supportive and dynamic team environment. This position requires availability for 50 to 55 hours per week, including weekends and holidays, reflecting the restaurant's dedication to serving guests consistently.
