As a Kitchen Leader at Chipotle, you play a crucial role in ensuring that every customer enjoys delicious, high-quality food in a clean, safe, and well-organized kitchen environment. This role involves preparing food to Chipotle’s high standards, such as grilling meats and sautéing vegetables, as well as managing inventory and minimizing waste. A Kitchen Leader is responsible for both the operational excellence of the kitchen and the development of crew members, training them to become capable future Kitchen Leaders themselves. It is a dynamic role that requires multitasking and the ability to work on your feet in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and teamwork. Leadership in this position is about setting a positive example, supporting the team, and continuously improving processes to guarantee safety and quality.
In addition to the hands-on food preparation and kitchen management responsibilities, the Kitchen Leader is expected to maintain compliance with all health and safety guidelines, monitor equipment maintenance, and ensure that all crew members follow safety protocols. Communication is key, both with team members and customers, to ensure an efficient and enjoyable dining experience. The position is full-time and offers a competitive compensation range of $17.15 to $19.06 per hour, along with eligibility for digital tips.
