The role of a Lot Porter at Camping World is an essential part of maintaining the high standards of the dealership. As a Lot Porter, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep the lot organized, presentable, and safe for both customers and coworkers. This position involves moving and parking recreational vehicle units with precision and care, ensuring that window price tags are correctly placed and removed, and conducting weekly lot washes to maintain cleanliness. The Lot Porter will also be tasked with writing work orders and tracking any issues with units to ensure they are in proper working condition. Additionally, responsibilities include sweeping, picking up trash and debris, and emptying garbage cans to maintain a professional appearance of the lot.
This role demands an individual with a hands-on attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have experience driving RVs, operating yard tractors or forklifts, and a basic knowledge of generator use and slide-out operation. The role requires some physical activity such as lifting and prolonged periods of standing or bending. Safety and security are paramount, as the Lot Porter will also be responsible for securing units and equipment from weather and other potential hazards. Maintaining inventory and ensuring all slide-outs, jacks, and steps of the RV units are properly positioned are key tasks. 
Camp Camping World offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $14.00 to $21.40 depending on skill set, experience, and other factors.                 - High school diploma or equivalent
 - Towing experience preferred
 - Ability to use yard tractor and/or forklift
 - Ability to drive an RV
 - Experience using generators and operating slide-outs
 - Ability to repair small items and identify problem units
 - Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
 - May lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs with assistive devices
 - Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending
 - Exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment
