The role of Kavasseur, also known as Bartender, is crucial at Kava Works. This position involves engaging directly with customers, serving a variety of Kava-based drinks and other beverages, and maintaining a lively and positive atmosphere in the bar. Candidates will be responsible for handling bar operations including keeping tabs open for customers, checking IDs to ensure legal compliance, and washing dishes to maintain cleanliness. The Kavasseur also plays the role of DJ, curating the music to fit the vibe of the bar and ensure patrons enjoy a welcoming and entertaining experience. Furthermore, the role entails producing kegs of product, which involves preparing and managing batches of Kava drinks to keep the bar well-stocked and efficient during busy shifts. Availability for late shifts, including until 1 am, as well as early shifts starting at 10:30 am, is essential as the bar operates multiple shifts to cater to diverse customer schedules. This role requires a minimum age of 21 and prior experience in customer service, bar, or retail settings is preferred to ensure excellent interaction with patrons and smooth bar operations.
