The role of Event Sales Manager is a pivotal position within this organization, reporting directly to the General Manager and primarily working on-site. This position is designed for a strategic and goal-oriented individual who excels at consultative selling, outbound prospecting, and client retention to drive event revenue. Candidates for this role must be adept at thinking big-picture and crafting thoughtful sales campaigns that nurture long-term customer relationships and generate repeat business. The ideal candidate will have a history of consistently increasing sales through cold calling and new business development while employing superior prospecting and closing skills.
This position requires strong multitasking abilities and a persistent drive to succeed, characteristics that will earn you the affectionate nickname "The Closer." As Event Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing a full sales process cycle, from generating leads outside the building to overseeing daily activities such as calls, appointments, and sales reporting. The role also involves leading a high-performing sales team by providing mentorship, training, and support to help them reach both individual and collective goals.
Daily responsibilities include developing and implementing local and outbound sales strategies targeting high-potential customer segments and industries. You will need to monitor market trends and key performance metrics, continuously adapting strategies to maintain a competitive edge. Utilization of advanced sales data warehouse platforms and CRM applications is essential for tracking all client communications and progress toward sales goals. Collaboration is a key element of the role, as you will work closely with District Sales and Regional Sales Managers to align efforts and maximize results.
