The role of Deployable Tool Crib Attendant 2 at Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is based at Edwards Air Force Base in California. This position plays a vital part within the Aircraft Solutions organization, where maintaining and managing tool resources is key to supporting mission readiness. The selected candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing various tools, machine tool fixtures, dies, and measuring devices. Accuracy and accountability are essential as they will maintain detailed records of tools issued to employees, take periodic inventories, and requisition stock when needed. The role involves regularly reporting damaged, worn out, or missing equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety. Additionally, the Deployable Tool Crib Attendant 2 will handle minor repairs and upkeep such as cleaning and oiling tools, while also making sure measuring devices are calibrated on schedule. The position requires familiarity with logistics support functions and documentation preparation. The incumbent will also establish the range and depth of spare parts, tools, test equipment, and related manuals to be stocked or deployed as necessary, and manage the requisitioning and tracking of these assets. This role demands a detailed understanding of tool accountability programs, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention procedures, and safety standards. The ability to review configuration changes and document conditions of equipment and components helps maintain the lifecycle of products and supports logistical deployment plans.
