The role of Executive Chef at Brandywine by Monarch Communities is vital to the daily operations and overall wellbeing of the residents. This is a non-exempt, salaried position with an annual salary of $72,000. The Executive Chef is responsible for the preparation and serving of meals that meet high quality and safety standards. Beyond meal preparation, this role also encompasses sanitation of food service areas, accurate record keeping, receiving and inventory management, and regulatory compliance. Excellence in maintaining food safety protocols such as HACCP, labeling, and storage requirements is expected to ensure the health and satisfaction of residents.
The Executive Chef will work closely with dietary and healthcare teams to ensure that special dietary needs are met, including preparing texture-modified food as directed by healthcare providers. Attention to detail and adherence to federal, state, and local food safety regulations are critical in this position. The Executive Chef is also responsible for maintaining all temperature logs for hot and cold foods and participating in ongoing staff training sessions. - minimum 3 years of job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and special diets
- 1 year of supervisory experience
- current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain ServSafe certification
