Xanitos is currently seeking full-time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers for the second shift at Garfield Medical Center located in Monterey Park, California. This role offers an hourly starting pay of $21.00, with immediate offers extended to qualified candidates. The position operates from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm and includes rotating weekend shifts. The Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers play a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly healthcare environment. Their work helps support not just the infrastructure of the hospitals but also contributes to the overall patient experience and safety.
The role involves cleaning and maintaining various areas within the hospital facility such as patient rooms, hallways, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms. Responsibilities include sweeping, vacuuming, dusting furniture and equipment, polishing metalwork, washing walls and woodwork, and replenishing bathroom supplies. Housekeepers also handle the collection and disposal of waste and may transport small equipment or tools between different departments. The job requires attention to detail and adherence to healthcare sanitation standards to minimize infection risks and promote a positive hospital environment.
Candidates selected for this position must comply with health and safety regulations, including full vaccination against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. Medical and physical examinations, background screening, and drug testing are required after an offer is made.
