The current job opening is for the position of Lead Customs Entry Writer. This role is pivotal in facilitating the seamless clearance of shipments through US Customs by managing and obtaining the necessary documentation and information. The selected individual will serve as a crucial link among DHL customers, brokers, and various DHL internal teams such as Customer Service, Clearance Production, and Compliance. Responsibilities include processing inbound freight, ensuring full compliance with government regulations, and addressing clearance delays by effectively communicating with customers and internal stakeholders.
The Lead Customs Entry Writer is tasked with examining shipping documents to verify federal compliance, updating customer files, and handling US Customs documentation. Communication skills are essential for this role, as the candidate will interact frequently with companies and individuals via multiple channels including phone, email, fax, and internal networks.
