The role of General Manager at Invited is pivotal to the leadership and operational excellence of the club. This position demands a strategic and visionary leader who can oversee all facets of club management, from financial strategy and membership growth to fostering a positive work culture. The General Manager is entrusted with developing and executing business and financial strategies that support the club's goals, ensuring that every operational area performs at its best. This includes guiding department heads across critical functions such as Agronomy, Facilities, Fitness & Wellness, Food & Beverage, Golf Operations, Member Experience, and Sales.
The General Manager is responsible for recruiting, developing, and maintaining a competent leadership team capable of driving the club’s success. A key aspect of this role is fostering continuous employee development through performance reviews, cross-training initiatives, goal setting, and employee recognition programs. The role also encompasses managing sales, marketing, and revenue strategies aligned with the club’s financial objectives. Effective expense control, budget management, and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) are essential to ensure the club meets its financial obligations, including debt and lease agreements.
Member satisfaction and retention are central to this position. The General Manager must cultivate strong member relationships, maintain high-quality facilities, and analyze retention metrics to develop targeted strategies to improve member loyalty. Engaging directly with resigning members to gather feedback is crucial for driving continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the General Manager must ensure that the club operates safely and compliantly according to all regulatory requirements.
