The role of Interior Aircraft Cleaner at ABQ is essential to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety inside aircraft. This position requires dependable, punctual, and professional individuals who can perform a variety of detailed cleaning tasks to enhance the passenger experience and support airline partners. Interior Aircraft Cleaners are responsible for cleaning aircraft interiors according to strict safety and quality standards, handling trash removal, restocking lavatories, cleaning galleys, seats, tray tables, and replacing magazines and sick bags. Additionally, they conduct thorough security searches and handle lost and found items in coordination with supervisors. Employees in this role must exhibit strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols rigorously, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), adherence to employee handbook policies, and safe operation of ground equipment and vehicles. Physical demands of the job are significant, including walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in confined spaces, often in varying weather conditions. A valid driver’s license and compliance with FAA background checks and airport security clearances are required to fulfill duties that may include vehicle operation on the tarmac. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with airline personnel, passengers, and other NAS employees. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth aircraft turnaround times and maintaining a safe, clean, and pleasant travel environment, reflecting NAS’s commitment to excellence in aviation service.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have access to reliable transportation

  • Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
  • Must secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
  • Must wear proper uniform attire when reporting to work
  • Must sign or clock in/out at the beginning and end of the scheduled shift
  • Must wear mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during assigned shifts
  • Must be capable of reading and understanding flight schedules
  • Must be physically able to walk, bend, stoop, lift, reach, and push for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in confined and small spaces
  • Must have a valid driver’s license as required by the airport authority
  • Must adhere to rules and regulations outlined in the Employee Handbook at all times
