Currently, The Ann is seeking a highly skilled General Manager to oversee the entire hotel operation, ensuring profitability while maintaining superior guest service, quality, and property standards. This full-time position commands a competitive annual salary ranging from $150,000 to $175,000. The General Manager will operate within the framework of approved annual budgets, marketing plans, capital expenditures, wage plans, and company policies. This role involves comprehensive leadership responsibilities including directing the Executive Committee, budget development, departmental objective setting, forecasting, financial statement review, and staff relations. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the strategic and operational success of the hotel. They will cultivate a collaborative environment among department heads, optimizing departmental objectives and execution plans. Leading budgeting and financial planning processes will be critical, as will the ongoing review of expenses and enforcement of cost controls to maximize profitability. Moreover, the General Manager will focus heavily on staff development, ensuring a positive work culture that fosters loyalty and low turnover. Visibility and availability to all team members align with the open-door policy, enhancing communication and engagement. They will conduct performance evaluations, manage hiring for management roles, and enforce company wage and salary policies. • A four-year college degree or equivalent education or experience
• previous experience as General Manager or Assistant General Manager at a similar size and type of hotel
• previous experience as Department Head at similar facility
• advanced knowledge of hospitality and business management
• strong ability to analyze, interpret complex information and improve practices
• excellent communication and leadership skills
• physical ability to perform hotel inspection duties including vision and mobility
