Global Medical Response (GMR) is a leading provider of emergency medical and patient relocation services on a global scale. This particular role is focused on hiring skilled rotorcraft helicopter pilots who will play a critical role in the air medical transport operations of GMR. As a line pilot, the person will be responsible for operating aircraft safely and efficiently in compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations, GMR’s Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, as well as relevant state and municipal laws. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $91,370 to $100,507 with a 5% geographic modifier to adjust compensation as needed based on base location. Additionally, the company offers generous pilot incentives including a $15,000 sign-on bonus and a $40,000 retention bonus after three years, making it an attractive opportunity for qualified professionals. The work schedule adheres to a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation, providing a stable work-life balance enhanced by 24-hour base housing available at every location. The pilot’s responsibilities extend beyond just flying, encompassing preflight inspections, continuous weather monitoring, and ensuring all operational protocol compliance. Pilots must be prepared and rested for duty, capable of responding to changing weather conditions, and documenting any mechanical discrepancies promptly to maintenance teams. Ideal candidates will have strong rotorcraft experience, with at least 2000 hours total flight time, including at least 1500 hours in helicopters and 1000 hours as pilot in command. They must also have turbine and night flight experience, a commercial rotorcraft-helicopter certificate, and an instrument rating. Previous experience with Helicopter Air Ambulance operations or similar environments is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must also meet a physical requirement of being able to safely operate under a 230-pound weight limit when dressed in flight suit and boots.
