The current opportunity is for a part-time Cleaner position based in Marysville, Washington. This role is integral in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall well-being of the retail environment that the Everett Fleet Store offers to its customers. Specifically, this position involves the use of heavy industrial cleaning equipment to perform a wide array of cleaning duties within designated areas of the store. The position offers a pay range starting at $22.25 per hour depending on experience and includes a flexible schedule ranging from 20 to 34.5 hours per week. The Cleaner is responsible for ensuring the store premises are orderly, hygienic, and appealing, upholding the high standards expected by both the Navy Exchange organization and its patrons. In this role, candidates will be expected to carry out detailed cleaning tasks that include scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors using specialized equipment, alongside dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing restroom facilities. The Cleaner will be capable of independently managing their schedule and work sequence to meet cleanliness standards. Additional responsibilities may include maintaining and repairing cleaning machinery, handling heavy furniture and equipment relocation, cleaning windows and doors at ground level, and occasional operation of motor vehicles for work duties. The work environment is primarily indoors with adequate lighting and ventilation, but may expose the worker to physical demands such as lifting heavy objects and working on ladders or scaffolds. This position requires a candidate who is detail-oriented, capable of following specific oral or written instructions, and committed to creating a safe, clean shopping experience. Physical stamina and the ability to work safely with industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals are essential. There is a strong emphasis on safety due to the potential risks associated with the use of electrical cleaning machines, ladders, and scaffolds.
