The role of Master Cook at J Paul's Italian Steakhouse within the J Resort is a vital position designed for a seasoned culinary professional who can contribute to the ongoing transformation of this premier Reno resort. The Master Cook will be responsible for skillfully managing various kitchen stations while assisting with overseeing culinary operations to ensure the highest quality food preparation, presentation, and consistency. This position requires a hands-on approach to supporting Room and Sous Chefs in managing staff and ensuring operational excellence, including maintaining compliance with health and sanitation standards. The successful candidate will possess extensive culinary experience, with at least five years in the field and preferably a degree in Culinary Arts or a Food Service Manager's Certification. Leadership and supervisory experience are also valued, as the role involves training kitchen personnel, guiding discipline, and promoting effective communication among team members.
