The role of Senior Executive Chef at Parkhurst Dining is a highly responsible leadership position within the management team, overseeing a food service operation with an annual managed volume exceeding 10 million dollars. The Senior Executive Chef acts as the top culinary leader at their assigned account, taking ownership of culinary cost controls, profit and loss accountability, and ensuring that all culinary activities align with Parkhurst's standards. This role requires overseeing many essential facets including inventory management, purchasing, menu development, and catering operations, creating an integrated and efficient kitchen operation.
Beyond operational duties, the Senior Executive Chef is deeply involved in talent development, leading the culinary hourly team and other culinarians by providing training on food production, service, presentation techniques, and portion control. This mentorship fosters a skilled and motivated team, capable of delivering an exceptional culinary experience to every customer, client, and guest.
Customer relations are a vital element of this position. The Senior Executive Chef actively engages with clients and customers, including students, parents, and external guests, to ensure that food programs meet specific needs such as dietary restrictions and medical conditions. Regular visits to dining areas to assess satisfaction and respond timely to feedback are a key part of maintaining high service standards and continuous improvement.
Financial stewardship forms the backbone of this role’s responsibilities, with the Senior Executive Chef assisting in the development of operational budgets, managing labor and food costs, preparing financial reports, and enforcing portion controls to minimize waste. These actions help maintain profitability while delivering premium quality meals.

                - Fifteen or more years of professional experience
 - Ten or more years in a senior culinary leadership role
 - Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in culinary arts or equivalent
 - Ability to lead and train a culinary team
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office
 - Strong organizational skills
 - Excellent leadership and team management
 - Proficiency in math and financial cost controls
