The Operations Specialist - Omni position plays a crucial role within the Pet Care Center by ensuring smooth and efficient operational execution, especially supporting Petco’s Omni channel initiatives. The specialist is responsible for managing Ship from Store (SFS) operations, including product picking, packaging, and shipping, ensuring consistency and operational excellence. This role aims to reduce time spent on SFS tasks through improved familiarity and process efficiency. Beyond Omni channel duties, the specialist assists with receiving, stocking, and maintaining merchandise and supplies, all while delivering excellent guest service when needed. The job involves a variety of tasks that generally follow operational guidelines but occasionally require individual judgment or consultation with leadership. This role is essential in maintaining a well-stocked and organized Pet Care Center that aligns with company standards. Responsibilities include supporting daily SFS activities, processing transactions, promoting safe work environments, performing routine housekeeping, participating in inventory counts, completing Omni channel projects, and coordinating with internal teams to meet operational plans. An Operations Specialist must also engage in Petco’s selling behaviors to enhance guest experiences, contribute to a safe and collaborative culture, and actively pursue professional development opportunities. Working primarily indoors with some brief outdoor tasks, the position requires physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and lifting.
