The role of International Intermodal Logistics, Account Manager at Florida East Coast Railway is a vital position focused on advancing the company’s international logistics and intermodal services. This role is responsible for working closely with ocean carriers such as Crowley Maritime, Seaboard Marine, CMA/CGM, and Maersk, as well as customs brokers, freight forwarders, importers, and exporters who depend on reliable international transportation networks. The Account Manager plays a key role in diagnosing and designing optimal logistical services tailored to client requirements, utilizing the unique capabilities of FEC’s rail network within Florida. This position entails comprehensive interaction with logistics professionals at various levels, requiring a blend of strong analytical skills, creativity, and problem-solving acumen. The ideal candidate will possess current knowledge of international trade dynamics and supply chain trends, thriving in a fast-paced environment where they must manage multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities include analyzing trade and transportation trends, developing tailored logistical solutions, presenting service plans to prospective customers, and actively identifying new business opportunities to expand rail traffic. Representing FEC in customer, government, and trade association meetings, the Account Manager will also maintain updated databases of contacts and travel as necessary to foster client relationships. Ideal candidates for this position should have 3 to 5 years of professional experience in fields such as international logistics, ocean carriage, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or as a Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC). A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, economics, or a related field is preferred. Excellent communication, time management, and cross-functional teamwork skills are essential, along with proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, and data analysis tools.
