This position is with a service-oriented organization dedicated to assisting homeless individuals and supporting those in recovery through comprehensive programs and community partnerships. The organization serves as a vital resource in the community, providing a structured path for guests facing hardship to access essential social services, career development opportunities, and spiritual growth. With a focus on holistic care, the team works closely with community agencies to foster connections that help individuals improve their lives and attain self-sufficiency. The role encompasses responsibilities across homeless services, life recovery services, and community services, demanding a versatile and compassionate professional. In homeless services, the individual will maintain an in-depth understanding of community resources and offer referrals accordingly. They will establish partnerships with local organizations and businesses to help guests discover educational and career pathways and support them by setting clear program expectations. Progress monitoring and goal setting are integral to this part of the role, ensuring guests move toward long-term success through consistent encouragement and program evaluation. In life recovery services, the person in this role will oversee residents' schedules within the Connection Center, aiming to increase engagement and motivation through innovative curriculum ideas. Building meaningful relationships that encourage spiritual growth is a priority, alongside collaborating with life recovery staff to introduce new strategies and opportunities. This position involves closely monitoring residents’ development and assisting with career planning to help residents thrive once they have completed the program, including practical assistance with job readiness and employment searches. Community services responsibilities include managing compliance as a proctor in the Pearson VUE Testing Center and handling professional communication through phone, email, and in-person interactions. The role requires supporting walk-ins who need assistance obtaining identification documents, cell phones, or other critical items. Representing the organization positively at various community functions and events is essential, along with maintaining clean and welcoming public service areas. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of an associate's degree or comparable relevant experience, with strong backgrounds in case management, social work, or education preferred. The position requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication in both written and oral forms, competency with computer systems, and reliable transportation to attend occasional off-site meetings. Central to this role is a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ, active participation in a local Christian church, and a compassionate demeanor toward the poor and homeless. Integrity, responsibility, grace, teachability, and the ability to work effectively within a team are critical qualities for success in this position.
