The Senior Cybersecurity Incident Response Manager role at McLane is a critical leadership position focused on protecting the organization from cyber threats and ensuring operational resilience through expert incident response capabilities. This hybrid position requires the candidate to work from McLane’s Temple, TX office three days per week, ideally situated within a 50-minute commuting radius. The successful candidate will oversee a specialized team of cybersecurity professionals responsible for delivering vital services such as Threat Intelligence, Threat Detection, Threat Response, Digital Forensics, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). By leveraging advanced technologies including artificial intelligence and machine learning, this leader will drive innovation within the cybersecurity operations and enhance the organization’s ability to detect, respond to, and recover from cyber incidents effectively.
Key responsibilities include managing the end-to-end lifecycle of threat response—from triage to containment and remediation—and collaborating closely with the Security Operations Center (SOC), IT, and various business units to coordinate timely and effective incident handling. The role also involves overseeing forensic investigations and maintaining forensic readiness to support legal and compliance requirements. Enhancing the DLP program to prevent unauthorized data movement and defining robust data protection policies in partnership with compliance teams are crucial elements of this position. This role demands strong leadership skills to build and guide a high-performance team, develop operational playbooks and training programs, and align cybersecurity strategies with broader organizational priorities alongside other senior cybersecurity leaders.

- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field
- ten or more years of progressive experience in information technology
- eight or more years of experience in cybersecurity incident response, vulnerability management and/or offensive security
- experience with SIEM, EDR, SOAR, CSPM, and DLP technologies
- relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC, OSCP, CRISC)
- strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and collaboratively
- ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly
- proficiency in English to understand and comply with workplace safety and operational standards
- ability to commute to Temple, TX office three days a week
