As a Flight Paramedic with Air Methods, you will provide high-level pre-hospital care during patient transport in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting. The role calls for a minimum of 36 months’ experience within a busy 911 transport or flight environment over the last five years, ensuring you bring the knowledge and confidence necessary to handle critical situations effectively. Working 24-hour shifts, you will be responsible for assessment, triage, stabilization, and treatment of critically ill or injured patients while ensuring their safe transport to appropriate medical facilities. Adhering strictly to protocols established by the Air Methods Community Based Services (CBS) Medical Directors, your work will integrate a seamless blend of clinical medicine, aviation safety, and collaborative teamwork. Your duties extend beyond patient care to include managing medical equipment and supplies on the aircraft, participating in missions and safety briefings, and maintaining thorough, accurate documentation of care during transport. The role also involves acting as a clinical resource and educator for your team, contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence. This role requires a high degree of physical fitness due to weight restrictions and the demands of working in an airborne environment. You will need advanced certifications including EMT-Paramedic licensure, specialty certifications such as FP-C or CCP-C within two years of hire, and current healthcare provider certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS). Additional training in trauma, neonatal resuscitation, and disaster management ensures preparedness for a wide range of patient needs and emergency scenarios.   • high school diploma or GED
  • minimum three years recent experience in busy 911 system
  • registered EMT-P licensed in state served
  • specialty certification FP-C or CCP-C required within two years of hire
