You will operate various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers to bake, roast, broil, steam, and cook meats, vegetables, and other foods. Your creativity will be showcased in arranging and garnishing dishes to enhance presentation and appeal. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitary conditions of your workstation and equipment is essential, along with following all Aramark safety procedures. Furthermore, exceptional customer service and a professional demeanor with coworkers, customers, and clients are important to ensure a positive dining experience.
This position demands physical activity such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing, and may require wearing uniforms and personal protective equipment. - Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- Ability to acquire food safety certification
- Basic math and counting skills
- Good interpersonal communication skills
