The Valet position at ABM is an entry-level role ideal for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce, with a focus on delivering professional, courteous, and compassionate guest services. Valets play a critical role in managing the flow of vehicle traffic and ensuring a safe, efficient parking experience for guests. This includes greeting visitors, providing clear information regarding valet procedures, and assisting guests with vehicle loading and unloading. Valets are responsible for operating both standard and automatic transmission vehicles safely, abiding by all traffic laws and facility policies.
In addition to vehicle management, the role involves addressing guest inquiries with a friendly demeanor, monitoring parking areas for illegal parking, and securing guest keys. The Valet must anticipate peak traffic times and coordinate support to minimize guest wait times. Financial responsibilities include receiving payments, issuing receipts, reconciling daily revenue, managing tip pools accurately, and projecting currency needs.
