The Sales Lead role at RNDC is a proactive and customer-focused position centered on advancing and securing sales within a designated territory. As a Sales Lead, the successful candidate will manage existing sales accounts by servicing their needs while employing strategic, informed selling techniques to drive incremental business growth. This position requires the ability to represent the customer's voice accurately, educate customers on product offerings, and introduce new products effectively to close distribution gaps. The Sales Lead will frequently visit accounts to provide excellent service, and will develop individual sales plans that consider customer needs and geographical factors to ensure efficient customer outreach.
Key responsibilities include establishing overall selling plans for each customer, understanding and supporting customers' business strategies and goals, and ensuring timely and accurate order delivery through follow-up. In the absence of a Support Representative partner, the Sales Lead is also responsible for merchandising activities such as stocking shelves and building displays. This role demands continuous development of sales skills and product knowledge, including an understanding of RNDC's broad portfolio of wines and spirits. Additionally, Sales Leads may be required to participate in promotional activities and account events during nights and weekends, demonstrating flexibility and dedication.
RNDC values the blend of experience and education in candidates, preferring those with a four-year college degree but welcoming those with relevant certificates or equivalent combinations of training and experience. The role requires a valid state driver's license and the ability to meet company vehicle insurance standards. Strong client skills and the capability to understand customer needs are essential for success in this role.
