The opportunity at Fairfield Inn Visalia, a property managed by Highgate Hotels at 140 South Akers Street, Visalia, CA, offers an engaging role as a Maintenance Technician. This role is compensated on an hourly basis and is essential in maintaining the high standards expected at Highgate’s properties. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for routine operational maintenance and repair of hotel equipment, ensuring that guest rooms and common areas are kept in pristine condition. Preventative maintenance tasks span a variety of hotel systems including HVAC, plumbing, kitchen appliances, laundry equipment, and mechanical systems. The successful candidate will approach their responsibilities with technical expertise and a readiness to perform diverse maintenance tasks, including light carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs. Swiftly responding to alarms and emergencies and communicating effectively with front desk personnel is part of the critical operational protocol. This role demands a proactive, skilled, and detail-oriented individual who can maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. The position requires a valid driver’s license and adherence to property-specific driving record standards. Experience in hotel maintenance or related fields and appropriate trade licenses in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry are preferred qualifications.
