We are currently seeking a Full-Time Pizza Maker to join our busy Melville store team. This role is crucial to maintaining the high standards our customers expect. The Pizza Maker will be responsible for the preparation of pizza dough, sauces, and a variety of toppings including tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and meats. This role requires a keen eye for detail and dedication to kitchen safety protocols at all times to ensure the safety and quality of all food products. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in fast-paced pizzerias or similar restaurant environments and possess a strong understanding of standardized recipes and food handling procedures. This position demands someone who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously, such as preparing dough and toppings, monitoring oven temperatures and cooking times, and packaging or plating pizzas accurately according to customer orders. Beyond food preparation, the Pizza Maker must also assist in inventory control, ensuring that supplies are well-stocked and fresh while discarding any expired or spoiled ingredients by the end of their shift. • HS diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience making pizza in a fast paced pizzeria or restaurant setting
• A food handler’s license is preferred
• Proven food preparation and food handling experience
• The ability to follow standardized recipes
• Able to deliver friendly, courteous and prompt customer service
• Basic knowledge of baking techniques and the bread making process
• Keen attention to detail
