Woodfield Boca Raton is currently seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join its culinary team. This full-time management position offers an exceptional opportunity for a culinary professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality cuisine in a luxury, high-volume resort or high-end restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will have a culinary degree preferred but not mandatory, paired with significant prior experience as an a la carte chef in demanding, quality-driven environments. Creativity, attention to detail, and a deep passion for the culinary arts are essential for success in this role.
As Sous Chef, you will have the responsibility of overseeing the daily food preparation across all five dining outlets of the club. This role demands a hands-on approach to maintaining food production standards, cost control, eye appeal, and flavor consistency. You'll work closely with the Executive Chef to craft and refine menu specifications, develop specialty items, and innovate new dishes for both buffet and a la carte services. The responsibility for tasting and quality control before food reaches guests also falls under your duties, ensuring that every plate served meets the club’s high standards.
Moreover, managing the kitchen team effectively is a critical aspect of this role. You will ensure that all kitchen staff are properly trained, understand station standards, and consistently adhere to sanitation and safety protocols. Scheduling and employee compliance with operational checklists are integral to maintaining a smooth kitchen workflow. Communication with front-of-house teams and gathering club member feedback will be important for continuously improving service quality.
