We are currently hiring a Helicopter Pilot (Captain) for our Kansas City, MO base, offering a sign-on bonus of up to $50,000. This is a full-time opportunity to join a dynamic, service-oriented team focused on saving lives during critical emergencies. As a pilot within PHI Health, you will operate the S76 helicopter in two-pilot crews but under IFR/NVG conditions, transporting critically ill or injured patients as well as performing administrative and maintenance flights. Your role will be instrumental in maintaining aircraft safety, complying with FAA regulations, and ensuring efficient mission execution around the clock. You will liaise with medical crews, passengers, communications, and maintenance teams to support seamless operations. This position requires strong decision-making skills related to safety, weather, mechanical readiness, and operational performance, reflecting our commitment to the highest standards from pre-flight preparation through mission completion. This position demands excellent professional conduct and a customer-focused mindset, as PHI pilots represent the organization to internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for completing flight logs, mechanical reporting, and supporting the Safety Management System to promote organizational safety culture. The successful candidate will meet minimum flight time thresholds, including 2000 total hours with 1500 hours in helicopters, hold an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument certification, current Class II FAA medical certification, and must meet all required physical standards and background checks. A minimum one-year service obligation applies, with a two-year commitment if utilizing the relocation package.
